Jelu Estate was founded in 2002 and is located in San Juan, approximately 100 miles North of Mendoza. Duncan Killiner is the co-founder as well as the winemaker and speaks often of the distinctive climate of the Zonda Valley.

In the 1990's, Duncan worked as a "flying winemaker," consulting at wineries around the world. He worked over 80 harvests in ten years, traveling from Brazil to Mexico to Italy and Germany.

In 2005 Andrej Razumovsky, his cousin Andre Hoffmann from Switzerland and Jeremie Delecourt from France joined forces to establish a boutique winery in Mendoza, Argentina. They purchased 35 hectares of vineyard in the southern part of Lujan de Cuyo, where the vineyards sit at a high altitude of 3,200ft above sea level.

Familia Mayol

As the owner/winemaker at Familia Mayol, Matias Mayol is a third generation vintner whose grandfather left his vineyards in Spain for Mendoza where he planted vines in the early 1900s. In 2006, Matias took over the vineyard management from his father, including that of the three plots that his father purchased in the 1990’s.
Working organically in the vineyards, Matias said, “The effort comes back to us once the wine is bottled.”

Pie de Palo

Pie de Palo is situated 20 km (13 mi) south of Mendoza City, Argentina, in Cruz de Piedra district, Maipu County, where the climate is moderate in the summer and winter months. With dry air year-round, and little rainfall, the vines here maintain optimal health.
Owned and operated by Eduardo Lapania, who works with winemaker Diego Medina, Pie de Palo hand-harvests its organically grown grapes.

Finca Abril is a family-owned winery founded in 1996 which achieves the project of producing limited editions of high quality wines that represent their specific terroir. The project was inspired by a small part of an old farm in the Uco Valley – Mendoza- Argentina with vineyards planted in 1922 and perched at a high altitude of more than 3,400 feet above sea level. From here the winery has branched out to produce many levels of award winning Malbecs.
